I don’t have time to read all these New Yorker magazines …

Who does anymore, really? I get like a copy every two days now. Thick ones. My April issue was bound with a hard-spine. It’s like being sent a Mead composition notebook but you read less of it. And what’s in this month’s issue?

Hendrik Hertzberg’s piece on Clinton lying about sniper fire in Bosnia. I’ll make sure and read that two weeks ago. A think piece on “The Hills” from the magazine I read at the dentist to show off how much smarter I am than the guy reading Sports Illustrated next to me. Bad cartoon. Bad cartoon. Oh wow, Piotr Uklanski’s sculpture “Untitled (KRAK) is at Gagosian. I’ll be sure to check it out after I see Street Kings.

And speaking of those cartoons, why does the New Yorker keep turning down my “Winning Caption” submissions? I tell you what New Yorker. Two can play at this game. You keep rejecting me then I’ll keep slapping you around. I’ll submit a new caption each month until they reward my spot-on humor. Some prior examples for you below:
