OVERVIEW
The P.P.W.O.A. is a purely volunteer-citizen driven effort to forge ahead with greater awareness of the poor standards in indie-rock journalism, and to promote more stringent guidelines. Any effort you can make to help further the debate above ground would be very appreciated.
At the P.P.W.O.A., we plan a public roll-out of our keystone issues soon; that includes providing better metrics for stress tests upon which to validate albums, artists, or bands as “masterful” or having created “a masterpiece;” a five digit album rating system (ex.: 7.8343), and new community standards for parallel evaluations to safeguard against inflated appraisals of audio products, but with no corollary to merits in the free market (sales figures).
Let’s turn up the fire, and see if anybody screams.
