Enemy Endorsement
Surprising news today as socially conscious rap star Chuck D, the world’s blackest man, has announced he is backing Democratic front runner Barack Obama for US president. Chuck D said in an interview with British rock magazine NME “I think Barack Obama is the right man for the job.” When asked to comment on the endorsement, Hillary Clinton’s Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe responded, “oooookay … aaaaand … ?”
SlapClap political analysis: Go ahead, try and shrug it off McAuliffe but this one had to hurt. Talk about out of nowhere. No one could have seen this coming. No one. We haven’t been this caught off guard since Gloria Steinam came out in support of Hillary in January. Next you’ll be telling us Wilford Brimley is a John McCain fan. So why does Chuck D like Obama so much? Why not support one of the other candidates, or abstain altogether? While we’re at it, “do you see what I see?” These questions have no fucking answers.
